1. Scope and basic principles

These rules apply to profile information, usernames, profile photos, posts, stories, comments, messages, photos, videos, audio recordings, live streams, guest participation in streams, voice and video calls, in-game communication, links and other content and interactions provided through Sociable.

Sending content only to certain people, sharing it in a private conversation or deleting it shortly afterwards does not exempt it from these rules. Our rules apply to both public and private interactions.

Conduct outside the platform involving people met through Sociable may also be considered for platform measures when it directly affects user safety or the integrity of the service, to the extent that sufficient and reliable information is available.

We expect everyone in our community to:

  • Respect other users’ boundaries and communication preferences.
  • Use lawful content that you are entitled to share.
  • Do not deceive, threaten or exploit people.
  • Protect other people’s personal information and privacy.
  • Do not attempt to bypass the platform’s security and moderation measures.

The examples in this document are illustrative. A behavior is not permitted merely because it is not expressly listed among the examples if it violates the law or falls within the prohibitions in these rules.

2. Minimum age and accuracy of account information

Sociable is only for people who are at least 18 years old and legally eligible to use the service where they are located. Permission from a parent or another adult does not allow anyone under 18 to use Sociable.

You must not misrepresent your age, date of birth or eligibility to use the service, or use another person’s information to bypass the age restriction. Using other accounts, devices or people to bypass age reviews, account restrictions or other security measures is prohibited.

Sociable may request additional information about age or account eligibility if necessary and restrict access during review. Just because an account is technically accessible does not indicate that the user's age or identity has been verified by Sociable.

If you think someone under 18 is using an account or participating in a live stream as a user or guest, report it.

3. Users’ responsibility for their own content

You are responsible for the content you create, upload, share, transmit or republish, and for your related conduct. This responsibility includes what you say and do during a live stream.

You must ensure that your content complies with the law, these rules, and the rights of others. You may not use someone else's images, sounds, works, or personal information without the necessary permissions, usage rights, and legal basis.

Explanations such as “I got it from someone else,” “I only shared it,” “I was joking,” “everyone does it” or “a user asked me to do it” do not automatically excuse a violation. We consider context, but forwarding or resharing content may also constitute a violation.

Ownership of your content and usage permissions granted to Sociable are governed by the Terms of Use. This document does not create a separate license that supersedes the content rights in that agreement.

4. Sociable's relationship to user content

User content reflects the statements, opinions and conduct of the people who create or share it. Content appearing on Sociable, being recommended, remaining visible or receiving engagement does not mean that Sociable endorses it or guarantees its accuracy.

An account’s streamer status, popularity, earnings or access to another platform feature is not a guarantee by Sociable of that person’s trustworthiness, professional qualifications, lawful conduct or fulfillment of promises.

Moderation of content or accounts does not mean that all claims, personal characteristics or conduct have been verified.

Sociable sets rules for user content and may take moderation measures to enforce them. These activities do not absolve users of their responsibility for their own content and behavior.

5. Personal relationships, private agreements and disputes

Sociable is not a party to personal relationships, private agreements, or disputes between users. It does not act as a mediator, arbitrator, representative or guarantor in these matters.

Friendships, romantic relationships, breakups, family matters, ending communication, emotional expectations, promises made to each other, private money transfers, debts, gifts and other arrangements between users are primarily the responsibility of the people involved.

Sociable does not guarantee that another user will continue communicating with you, reply to your messages, maintain a particular relationship, meet you, remain faithful to you or fulfill a private promise. Users have the right to end communication and block another user.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sociable does not assume liability for losses arising from these personal relationships or private arrangements merely because users met or communicated through the service.

However, the fact that an incident occurs within a personal relationship does not prevent review of threats, harassment, blackmail, fraud, privacy violations or other prohibited conduct. Such reports are reviewed under platform rules and applicable legal obligations.

Reviewing a report or taking action on an account does not mean that Sociable undertakes to resolve a private dispute, enforce another user’s promise, collect a debt, recover a private money transfer or compensate either party. Platform actions are not court decisions about a person’s civil or criminal liability.

Users remain free to seek assistance from competent authorities and exercise their legal rights. This section does not remove liability that may arise from Sociable’s own actions, paid services or obligations it must fulfill by law.

6. Respectful communication, bullying and harassment

We allow differences of opinion and respectful criticism. We do not allow behavior that is intended to intimidate, humiliate, silence, or systematically harass someone.

Prohibited behaviors include:

  • Repeated insults, derogatory posts, or targeting of a person.
  • Persistently contacting someone who has clearly stated that they do not want contact.
  • Using new accounts or involving other people to bypass blocks.
  • Directing users to attack, message, or harass a person en masse.
  • Unsolicited sexual messages, sexually explicit proposals, or sexual insults.
  • Malicious attacks on a person's physical appearance, disability, illness, trauma, or personal life.
  • Encouraging a user to harm themselves or others.

Someone having previously talked to you, flirted with you or received a gift from you does not mean they have given unlimited consent to future communication.

These rules also apply when communicating with our support team, moderators and other employees. You may appeal a decision, but you must not exert pressure through threats or harassment.

7. Hate speech and discrimination

We do not allow hate attacks against people or groups based on characteristics such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or a serious health condition.

Calling for violence based on these characteristics, dehumanizing people through degrading comparisons, advocating collective punishment or organizing targeted hate campaigns is prohibited.

Criticism can be made about beliefs, institutions, public policies and social issues. These discussions cannot be turned into threats, harassment or hate attacks against individuals.

Presenting content as humor, political debate or personal opinion does not automatically prevent it from being a hate attack in terms of its context and impact.

8. Violence, threats and dangerous activities

We prohibit threats of killing, injuring, sexual assault, kidnapping, or other serious harm. It is also forbidden to incite others to violence, to organize an attack or to facilitate its execution.

This includes revealing a person's location for the purpose of violence, offering payment or reward for assault, and providing actionable instructions for causing serious harm.

We do not allow content that supports terrorist activities, violent organizations, organized crime or human trafficking, or facilitates participation, financing or recruitment for these activities.

Discussions for news, education, research or condemning violence are assessed in context. Stating such a purpose does not automatically make threats, facilitating crime or sharing prohibited imagery acceptable.

It is also forbidden to torture animals, encourage cruelty or produce entertainment from it.

9. Safety and protection of children

We do not allow any content or conduct involving the sexual abuse, exploitation or sexualization of children. This prohibition covers real images as well as drawings, animations, digitally altered images and AI-generated content.

It is strictly forbidden to communicate with a child for sexual purposes, to ask for intimate images from children, to try to obtain or share these images, to normalize abuse and to direct children to sexual activities.

You must not disclose children’s identities, locations or other sensitive information in a way that endangers them. You must not use children to obtain gifts, earnings or viewers, or allow children to operate accounts or conduct broadcasts.

Report content suspected of involving child abuse. Do not download it, republish it or send it to other people to collect evidence. Use the relevant account, link and information that helps locate the content when reporting it.

Where necessary, relevant records may be preserved and reports may be made to competent authorities in accordance with applicable law.

10. Nudity, sexual content, and sexual exploitation

Just because Sociable is for adults only does not mean that pornographic or explicit sexual content is allowed.

Explicit display of genitals or intimate areas, images of sexual intercourse or masturbation, explicit sexual acts and pornographic content are prohibited. These rules also apply to live streams and private video calls.

Conduct that, considering the content as a whole, clearly aims to provide sexual stimulation or sexual services may also be prohibited. Examples include repeated camera focus on intimate areas, simulating sexual acts or offering to undress in exchange for gifts.

A person’s clothing, body type, dancing or appearance alone does not constitute a violation. Images, words, movements, camera use and requests for interaction are assessed together.

Buying or selling sexual services, facilitating them or directing users to other platforms for that purpose is prohibited. Sexual acts or explicit sexual content must not be requested in exchange for money, gifts, credits or another benefit.

Content that promotes or facilitates non-consensual sexual conduct, sexual assault or exploitation is prohibited. Victims may describe their experiences and seek support without sharing prohibited imagery or violating other people’s privacy.

11. Intimate images, blackmail and protection of privacy

It is prohibited to share intimate images of a person without their consent or to threaten to share them. The fact that these images have already been sent to you does not give you the right to transmit or publish them to others.

Using intimate images to demand money, gifts, other images, a meeting, a relationship or any behavior is blackmail and is prohibited.

This rule also applies to fake images, edited images, audio or AI-generated content presented as showing a person in an intimate or sexual situation.

You must not share secretly recorded private conversations, another person’s private messages or personal documents to expose, embarrass, threaten or harm that person.

Lawfully submitting information needed to report a violation or exercise a legal right through appropriate reporting channels or to competent authorities is different from disclosing it publicly to the community. Avoid sharing unnecessary personal information.

12. Personal information and unauthorized recordings

You may not share someone else's home address, private phone number, real-time location, identity document, bank information, password, health record, or similar sensitive information without a legal basis.

You must have the necessary rights and legal basis to record, use or publish another person’s image or voice. Participating in a private conversation does not automatically authorize recording it or publishing it elsewhere.

A public broadcast being available to watch does not authorize reuse of its images to harass, impersonate, sexualize or otherwise exploit a person.

Take care not to unintentionally reveal your address, bank details, documents or other people’s private information during a live stream. Publicly shared content may be recorded by other users or distributed outside the platform. Take this risk into account when deciding what to share.

How Sociable processes personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Live streams and participation in broadcasts

Images, sound, speech, backgrounds, on-screen material and interaction with viewers in live streams must comply with these rules. Conduct happening in real time or a broadcast not being recorded afterwards does not exempt it from the rules.

Hosts are responsible for their own broadcast conduct, and guests for their own images, sound and actions. Hosts must not encourage or knowingly continue violations in areas they can control. If a guest’s violation is noticed, available controls should be used to end their participation or appropriate steps should be taken to prevent the violation from continuing.

In particular, we don't allow the following behaviors in live streams:

  • Prohibited sexual content, violence, threats, or harassment.
  • Children participating as users or broadcast guests.
  • Performing or promising prohibited behaviors in exchange for gifts.
  • Performing dangerous acts to obtain viewers, gifts or income.
  • Showing other people's private life or sensitive information without permission.
  • Rebroadcasting someone else’s streams without the necessary permission.
  • Presenting prerecorded footage or footage of other people in a way that misleads viewers about identity, real-time participation or interaction.
  • Redirecting users to prohibited services or fraudulent transactions.

Receiving a gift from a user does not create an obligation to provide romantic interest, private conversation, sexual content or another personal behavior to that person. Users sending gifts must not impose such demands through pressure, threats or harassment.

Sociable may terminate a broadcast, restrict a participant's access, or suspend access to broadcast features when necessary.

14. Fraud, financial exploitation, and virtual gifts

Deceiving users to obtain money, credits, virtual gifts, account information or another benefit is prohibited.

This includes fake romantic relationships, fabricated emergencies, false requests for help, fake investment opportunities, promises of guaranteed earnings, and obtaining benefits from services that will not actually be provided.

You may not solicit money or information by pretending to be an employee, moderator, support person, or authorized representative of Sociable. Be wary of suspicious messages that ask for passwords, verification codes, or payment information.

Soliciting money outside the platform’s authorized features and expressly permitted programs, turning the platform into a sales or debt-collection tool through private payment arrangements, or directing users to risky payment channels is prohibited.

You must not use virtual gifts, payment systems or earnings features with stolen payment instruments, fraudulent transactions, artificial reciprocal transfers, money laundering or for other unlawful purposes.

Credits, gifts, subscriptions, earnings, and payment transactions are subject to the applicable terms of service. Your private arrangement with another user does not mean that Sociable guarantees payment or refund to you or the other party. Statutory consumer rights regarding purchases from Sociable are reserved.

15. Illegal or restricted products and services

You may not use Sociable for the purchase, sale, promotion, or supply of illegal goods or services.

Activities such as drug trafficking, illegal supply of weapons or explosives, sale of stolen goods, issuance of false documents, sale of accounts or identity information, and human trafficking are prohibited.

Organizing or facilitating illegal gambling or betting, or directing users to those services, is prohibited. Games on Sociable must not be used for real-money bets or private payment arrangements that the platform does not permit.

Commercial promotions, campaigns and professional activities must comply with the Terms of Use and, if applicable, the specific conditions of the relevant program. Sponsorship or commercial affiliation cannot be disguised in a way that misleads users.

16. Self-harm, dangerous behavior and graphic imagery

We do not allow content that encourages, glorifies or facilitates, through actionable instructions, suicide, self-harm, eating disorders or behavior that could cause serious bodily harm.

Dangerous challenges, excessive substance use or actions that seriously risk a person’s health or safety must not be performed to obtain viewers, gifts or engagement.

People can talk about their difficulties, share their recovery experiences, and seek support. Such posts must not describe harmful methods in detail or disseminate images of serious injuries.

Sharing extremely disturbing imagery of torture, severe injuries, mutilated bodies or similar material to shock people, create entertainment from suffering or glorify violence is prohibited.

Sociable is not an emergency or healthcare service. If you believe you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or competent authorities. Reporting to the platform is not a substitute for seeking emergency assistance.

17. Misleading content, impersonation and AI use

You must not deceive users by impersonating another person or organization. Your profile, messages and content must not mislead people about your identity, authority to represent someone or connection to an event.

Content created using AI, filters or editing tools is subject to all our rules. Artificially generating content does not create an exception for harassment, fraud, privacy violations or prohibited sexual content.

Realistic content that depicts a real person saying words they did not say or doing things they did not do must be clearly disclosed as artificial or altered if it could mislead users. Adding a disclosure does not make content that violates another rule permissible.

Ordinary beauty filters or clearly fantastical effects alone do not constitute impersonation. Using them deceptively to assume another person’s identity or obtain financial benefits is prohibited.

We prohibit deceptive content about health, safety, finance or public matters that could cause serious harm, fabricated emergencies and fraudulent redirections. Personal opinions and verifiable claims about events are assessed in context.

18. Spam, account security, and misuse of the platform

Repeated unsolicited messages, mass advertisements, misleading links, malware, and phishing attempts are prohibited.

You must not artificially manipulate views, followers, gifts, game results, rankings or other platform indicators using bots, fake accounts or coordinated activity.

You must not access another person’s account without permission or buy, sell or share account information in ways the service does not permit. You must take appropriate precautions to protect your account and access information.

Attacking the service, exploiting technical vulnerabilities, collecting user data without authorization or bypassing security measures is prohibited. Report identified security issues through appropriate support channels without harming others.

It is prohibited to create new accounts, use other users' accounts, or have someone else use your account for this purpose in order to circumvent a restriction or account closure order.

19. Copyrights and other intellectual property rights

You must have the necessary usage rights for the music, photos, videos, broadcast footage, texts, and other materials you share.

A work being available online does not automatically authorize sharing it on Sociable or using it in a live stream. Crediting the source may not replace the necessary permission.

Action may be taken against content that infringes copyright, trademark rights, or other intellectual property rights. Repeated violations may result in account restrictions or account closure.

If you are the rights owner or represent the rights owner, you may use the copyright notice method in the Terms of Use with the relevant content and explanations of your right. Notifications must be accurate and well-intentioned.

20. Contextual consideration of content

When assessing content, we may consider the entire post, its target, its setting, potential harm and other available information rather than only a single word or image.

Content for education, news, art, humor, awareness or condemning conduct is assessed with its clear context. Stating one of these purposes does not create a blanket exception for every type of imagery or behavior.

Even if a piece of content is lawful, it may still violate the content rules of Sociable. Similarly, the fact that content remains on the platform does not indicate that its legality or accuracy has been confirmed by Sociable.

Just because a violation appears on other accounts doesn't mean you can do the same. The fact that no action has been taken before does not prevent action in subsequent examinations.

21. Reporting, blocking and review of decisions

If you believe that content or behavior goes against our guidelines, use the "Report" option in the app. You can block people you don't want to communicate with.

When reporting, clearly identify the user, content, time and what happened. Do not submit personal information that is unnecessary for review. In an emergency, contact competent authorities without waiting for the platform to respond.

Reports are assessed using available information and evidence. Being reported does not automatically mean someone has committed a violation, and the number of reports alone does not determine a decision.

Filing a complaint with claims that you know to be false, altering evidence, or conducting coordinated complaint campaigns to silence an account is prohibited. A report made in good faith that cannot be verified later is not considered abuse simply because it cannot be verified.

If you believe an action against you was mistaken, you may request another review through the options available in the app or our support channels. Identify your account, the action and why you consider it mistaken. Requesting another review does not mean the action will automatically be reversed.

Legally required explanations and rights to seek review are provided. However, other people’s private information or details that would facilitate misuse of security systems may not be disclosed.

22. Moderation and possible actions

Sociable may assess content and conduct using different methods, including user reports, human review and automated systems. Methods may vary with the content type, nature of the risk and technical capabilities.

Automated systems and human assessments can make mistakes. Particularly in live and fast-moving interactions, detection of every violation in advance or immediately cannot be guaranteed. This does not remove Sociable’s applicable legal obligations.

Depending on a violation’s severity, effect on user safety, recurrence and the circumstances, one or more of the following measures may be taken:

  • Issuing a warning or requesting correction of content.
  • Removing content or restricting access to it.
  • Ending a live stream or a user’s participation in it.
  • Restricting access to messaging, sharing, broadcasting, gaming, or other features.
  • Temporary suspension or permanent closure of the account.
  • Reviewing payment or earnings transactions under applicable law and the relevant service terms.
  • Cooperating with competent authorities where required or permitted by law.

It is not mandatory to issue a warning first or follow the same sequence of actions for each violation. More serious measures can be applied directly in case of serious violations or imminent security risks.

Removing public content or terminating an account does not mean that the relevant records will be deleted immediately in all cases. Records required for review, security, or legal obligations may be processed and retained under applicable law and our Privacy Policy.

This section does not create any new loss of rights regarding purchases, payments or refunds. These matters are assessed under the relevant contractual provisions and applicable law.

23. Liability limits and protected rights

All exclusions and limitations of liability in this document apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in this document excludes or limits liability for Sociable’s fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Mandatory consumer rights, personal data protection rights, legal remedies and Sociable’s applicable legal obligations remain unaffected. This document does not prevent users from seeking assistance from competent authorities or exercising their statutory rights.

Where a provision conflicts with these rights or obligations, mandatory rules of law prevail.

24. Updates and contact

We may update our Community Standards due to changes in service features, new security risks, user experiences or legal requirements.

The current text and last update date appear on this page. Additional notice of changes is provided where required by law. Changes apply in accordance with the Terms of Use and applicable law.
