Gülin, 53

Born in 1973 in İstanbul then moved to swiss and I lived in Zurich till 1982 with my family.In İstanbul ı studied in Italian High School and graduted from the school at 1993. I pass the exams and enter to Mimar Sinan University Fine Arts department Set design and Costume in 1994.After one year ı won a scholarship to study art in Italy and ı passed exams of the University which is Venice fine Arts Academy department set design and costume which is called SCENOGRAFIA in 1995

In 1997 ı went to NewYork to work as a set and costume designer . I worked for "The Metropolitan Playhouse"ı designed two off Broadway Shows The Gathering of Arje Shaw and The Return of the Peter Grimm by David Belasco. I came back to Venice ı enter to concur of industrial design about handless for kitchenfor FGV in Milan. I won the award.Aways in 1997

I graduted from the University of L'Accademia di Belle Arti of Venice in 1998. At the same yearı worked with La Fenice Opera in Venice for two different contemporary opera ; Ratshal von Mozart and Phonophonie by Mauricio Kagel.

I came back To İstanbul at the end of 1998. I worked for two years for LAura AShley.

İn 2000 I won award of ITKIB young fashion designers competiton. I started to work as a fashion designer assistant for knitting Ozan Triko . in 2002 worked for Yargıcı as a designer. From 2003 till 2005 worked for ABS import textile company which is working for All the street companies; vero moda, vila, next, river ısland, jack & jones ....

In 2005 opened my own atelier and company GULIN jewellery textile fashion and consulting

Working for many company as a consulting fashion designer; Beymen Bessini Vals BArse, ......

Also styling for parliament, smirnoff,bailys..... all the enterteiment costume designs.

At the same time every season ı made my own collection ; ERA NEXUS, CRISTALLIZATION,......at summary around 20 collection . Every collection had own story and specialities.

Really every collection was like a jewellery.

From 2006 ı am teaching at the University of Yeditepe fashion design.
